In memory of J.R.R. Tolkien

Ever since I was a child, I remember being immersed in fantasy. I used to dream about a valiant knight fighting injustice in the most noble way he possibly could. I used to dream about a wizard that would come and defeat all evil. I used to dream of a female warrior that would defy every male character and survive to tell the story. Ever since I was a child, I remember wanting to make a difference in the world. To create something bigger than itself and give hope to others just like so many other authors have done before. Like so many others had done to me. Today, I went to the cinema to watch Tolkien. The movie was absolutely brilliant. It made me see just how much I needed to know about Tolkien's backstory and see how far this orphan boy went. I sat through the whole movie, not even looking at my phone once - which on this day and age takes a lot of dedication. Adventures in New York

Hello everyone, how's everything going? Just a couple of weeks ago, I went to the United States of America, state of New York, to see if everything is actually worth all that fuss. Let me tell you now, it is. We arrived late on Sunday night, the queue to go through border force was long -- waaay too long -- but we ended up making it. Getting to the hotel wasn't easy either, the driver showed us first hand why we should be afraid of driving in New York. Now, I don't know if it is an American thing or a New York thing, but that was some really dangerous driving. We managed to get to the hotel in one piece (and we were also the last ones in our minibus to be dropped off) and went to the reception to collect the keys to our rooms. Me and Jack were on the 20th floor, while Brittany (Jack's sister) and Gil (their mum) were on the 21st floor. The view from the rooms were amazing ~ and we were literally staying on the room just bellow them so we had pretty much the same...
