All I Wanted Was A Lipstick
Let's be honest.
I have never been a girly girl.
I have never been into makeup. I have never been into cute clothes. I have never been interested in anything remotely girly. But like everything else in life, things change.
I have been introduced to the world of makeup about two years ago. I had someone who would do my makeup whenever I deemed the occasion important enough. I had someone who would do my makeup because she thought I could use it.
Little did I know that I would end up here now. It is 11pm and I find myself searching for a particular brand on Google. Upon not being able to find it on Boots, Superdrug, BeautyBay or even Debenhams' websites, I decided to head to the last place that I thought I had a chance of finding it: ASOS.
Luckily for me, I did find the brand. Unfortunately for my wallet, I have added about four new liquid lipsticks to my wishlist and let me tell you, I would very much like to buy every single one of them. It's not like I am going to buy all four (at least not yet I won't) but I did fall in love with all the colours I've picked. I have always liked NARS as a brand but I don't really have many of their products. I have been thinking about it for a while and while I was going through someone's blog I saw a post about lipsticks and there were so many beautiful shades of lipsticks from NARS that it made me want to find some. Sadly I have never owned a NARS lipstick before but I do believe it is about to change soon,
As I said, I've never really been into makeup. But as time went by and my friendship with my makeup artist friend ended, I decided to become as good as I could in order to become independent and to be able to feel more confident when I go to work, on a date with my better half or just whenever I feel like it really.
I never thought I'd be applying liquid eyeliner on myself. I never thought I'd wake up +1 hour before I need to leave the house just so I can attempt to get my wing liner as good as possible and apply some eyeshadow that I haven't quite figured out how to blend perfectly.
I'm not saying I've become a MUA, but I am proud of how far I've come with my makeup skills. I never thought I'd be here, typing a blog post about makeup in the middle of the night. But hey!
If your life only goes exactly like you thought it would then you're doing something wrong.
Enjoy every moment. Learn from your mistakes. Move onto the next challenge. Never forget how far you've come.
How much have you changed? Tell me all about it in the comments!
Until a next time.

(Note to self, I need to come up with a better line than this. I mean, Gossip Girl had a great one; John Green came up with something amazing as well... *sigh*)
