The Google Pixel 2 XL
Hi everyone,
For the past few months, all I ever heard coming from my boyfriend's mouth was most usually related him wanting to get his phone upgraded. From that moment on, he kept talking about this phone he kept on trying to find any possible leaks of the Google Pixel 3 XL and in the end he heard exactly what he didn't want to hear.
So fast forward a good five months and here we are. He has just gotten himself the Google Pixel 2 XL.
Exactly for that reason, here's my very quick review of the Google Pixel 2 XL.
The phone is probably as big as the iPhone X. Holding it felt good, the design is very nice and I really liked the fact that the finger print recognition is int the back of the phone. For once, it doesn't take up the screen space and it makes the design more elegant.
One of the things that stopped Jack from getting the 3 XL was the notch, the fact that this screen is so big already made him quite happy (specially because the 2 XL does not have a notch!)
The best part of the deal is the price. Since the 3 XL is due to be coming out soon, he managed to get a better plan with more data and it only went up by £4 compared to the plan he had before for his iPhone 6s.
Not going to lie, I was quite impressed with the phone. I was even considering getting it for myself. But then I found out the one thing that could ever (and I do mean ever) stop me from buying this phone for myself.
You know when you are used to a certain things that you just can't give up? For me it's the option to keep media from autosaving on the phone. WhatsApp does not have that option on the android so it makes it impossible to stop all those pictures randomly sent in groupchats from clogging the Photo Gallery on your phone.
Everything about the phone is amazing, from the graphics to the design. Every single aspect of the phone had me excited (almost as excited as Jack was).
So really it is a great phone.
I would definitely advise people to get it, (I mean... The camera itself it a very good reason to get it!!) unless you have the same need as me to keep WhatsApp picture where they belong. On WhatsApp.
Leave a comment with what you think about the Google Pixel! Would you ever consider getting one? Or are you like me and just can't give up that WhatsApp function?
Until a next time!
